Each week I’m slowly getting more of my painting framed, catalogued, numbered and ready for transport to my upcoming inaugural solo exhibition 30 September – 22 October 2022 at the beautifully restored historic Rusten House Arts Centre, 87 Collett Street, Queanbeyan on the 1st of October. [The exhibition will form part of the Queanbeyan-Palerang 2022 Arts Trail ].

The exhibition includes a rich and atmospheric selection of over forty artworks oil paintings, watercolour and mixed media, capturing the light and story of the valleys, views and vineyards in this region, on Ngunnawal, Ngambri and Yuin country, of South Eastern Australia.

The exhibition is a culmination of over 10+ years of my painting ‘en plein air’ /outdoors. It features over seventy artworks and includes paintings of wild grasses, deep valleys, historic sites, shadows and reflections, and the rhythmic land formations captured in oil and watercolour.

I will also be offering a short documentary film and regular community and group engagement talks and painting watercolour demonstrations in the gallery each Saturday during the exhibition, between 1- 3pm except the final weekend AND on Wednesdays Oct. 5, 12 and 19 – 11am – 2pm. ‘Complimentary – No attendance charged’.  Demonstrations will show you how to ‘get in touch’ with your creative side and learn about some simple beginner steps for creating organic and free form watercolour and mixed media nature studies.

I welcome all who would like to visit or book a small group demonstration at the Rusten House Arts Centre, which is a fabulous art space. Please contact me if you would like to book your group directly for another specific date and time. For more details see : Rusten House Art Centre 87 Collett St Queanbeyan
